Savannah Anderson – 40 Under 40

Age: 29
Kids: 1
Occupation: Part Owner of Scrambles Cafe and Catering
My grand goal in life: My biggest goal in life is to be fully content. I don’t need to be happy all of the time, but to reach the point of longing for nothing.
When not working, I: When I’m not working, you can find me outside. It’s hard to not take advantage of Florida’s perks!
What I like most about living in Ocala: Ocala is the community I’ve lived in for over 21 years and even with our growth, our community still harbors those small town values such as coming together in times of need. It’s something that after living in a larger city, it really makes you appreciate having the support of your neighbor.
My biggest pet peeve: Don’t judge me, loud ringtones.
One word that summarizes my philosophy of life: Simple
My greatest strength is: I believe my greatest strength is my ability to connect with people. I know no stranger… I’ll make friends in the checkout line of Target.
If you could have a superhuman power, it would be: The ability to stop time.
Community cause nearest my heart: Kimberly’s Center
A guilty pleasure of mine: Sweets, big sweet tooth here.
People who know me say I am: Outgoing
Personal achievement for which I am most proud: I am most proud of the angel I am raising. My daughter, who is four, is pure love and often reminds me that I am doing SOMETHING right.
Favorite part of my profession: Yet again, the people. Scrambles has been such a transformative part of my life. I’ve learned so much from everyone I’ve crossed paths with. I am genuinely grateful for our guests and staff.
If there is one thing I indulge too much in: Music, if there is such thing as too much?
Top three things on my bucket list: Swim with sharks, see the Northern Lights, and eat pasta in Italy.
