Name: Sara Lambert
Age: 30
Occupation: Community engagement coordinator
Name of business/workplace: Marion County Parks & Recreation
When not working, I . . . am having a beer with my husband downtown or watching my dog Rusty swim in Lake Weir.
What I like most about living in Ocala: The big sprawling oak trees with their Spanish moss are so quintessentially southern. It feels nostalgic and sentimental at the same time.
My biggest pet peeve: Bad manners.
One word that summarizes my philosophy of life: Advocate.
If you could have a superhuman power, it would be. . . Time travel! I’m such a history buff, being able to go back in time and watch stuff happen before my eyes would be wild!
Community cause nearest my heart: The Junior League of Ocala gave me the space to have a spot on the board of the Marion County Literacy Council and ever since I have fallen in love with the work they do. It is, without a doubt, the cause nearest to my heart.
A guilty pleasure of mine: Any show where Andy Cohen is required to host a reunion.
Any person in history I could have a dinner date with, and why: JFK, if only to say “oh man, I went on a date with him once.”
Favorite part of my profession: Public speaking. I love that I am the one who gets to go out into our community and represent my department.
