When I’m not working, I… play. Off days are unreal for artists. I’m always working but When I’m not painting I lay in my hammock as much as humanly possible. I take long hikes on the Florida Trail. I run and I write songs. I trade books with friends and spend days reading.
What I like most about living in Ocala: Exploring the nature coast from the Rainbow River in Dunnellon to the Ocala National Forest. This place is a wonderland.
My biggest pet peeve: Willful ignorance.
One word that summarizes my philosophy of life: Free.
If you could have a superhuman power, it would be… The ability to heal myself
Community cause nearest my heart: FAFO’s Emerging Artists program. Although the Marion Literacy Council’s adult spelling bee at Mutiny was an absolute blast to be a part of.
A guilty pleasure of mine: I live relatively guilt free but I take a lot of unnecessary road trips.
Any person in history I could have a dinner date with, and why: Alexander The Great. To ask him if he knew there would be a library would he do anything differently? Like maybe set plans to fortify said library and protect the world’s collective knowledge from iconoclasm.
Favorite part of my profession: Being a part of an actual community of incredible humans and drinking wine with them at The Keep after every art show.
If there is one thing I indulge too much in, that would be… Information. Sometimes I can be overwhelmed by the intensity of my studies and get too excited about wanting to learning as much as possible. This can lead to burnout and mental fatigue.
