40 Under Forty: Daniel Osborne

Name: Daniel H. Osborne

Age: 34

Title/Company or main life pursuit: Owner, DRR Drywall Repair

What is your word and why did you choose it? Integrity.

My wife actually chose it; the meaning is monumental and definitely a high-water mark. Integrity is like a rope: if you break it, you’ll always know where the separation occurred, even when repaired. My operational strength is held in telling the truth.

What aspirations do you have for yourself in the next 40 years?

100% debt free

My wife Barbra to publish books, preach, and teach.

Help build churches naturally and physically across the globe.

Grow my consulting business.

Establish a micro-lending fund for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Watch my children, grandchildren, and future generations worship God at the altars.

Favorite way to give back to the community? Advising and consulting other entrepreneurs. Staying involved in Souls Harbor.

What do you love and/or hate about the Ocala area? I love the opportunity to help others break the chains of self-inflicted harm, the poverty of mind, body, soul, and finances.

A few albums and movies you’d bring to a deserted island? Books — The Bible, “Now You Know,” “It Hurts to Be Mad” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”

You never leave home without: Wallet, keys, cell phone, knife, phone, bluetooth, prayer.

If you could tell your 16-year old self one thing: It’s not always going to go your way. Your giftings can crush and destroy others when you don’t hold them in a position of service. Consider silence an opportunity to show worth and maturity of character. Strength of body means nothing compared to the strength required to lift up someone else. Your Pastor is right; just do it.

Anything else you’re super passionate about that you’d like to tout: People interact with me throughout my professional and personal endeavors for two reasons:

  1. The want the truth.
  2. They want the job done right.

Success is dependent upon the choices people make and the people they allow to speak into their lives.
