Age: 35
Kids: 2
Occupation: Physical Therapist with Mountain River Physical Therapy
My grand goal in life: To positively impact as many lives as possible.
When not working, I: Am home spending time with my 2 littles and husband.
What I like most about living in Ocala: I love the community atmosphere and connectedness! I have seen Ocala grow so much in the 9 years that I have lived here but the integrity and support among the community is as strong as ever.
My biggest pet peeve: Loud chewing and swallowing.
One word that summarizes my philosophy of life: Invest – we live in a world of comparison and too often focus on material things or statuses that are unimportant while neglecting the people who love us. We need to spend more time investing in our families, our friendships, our communities and ourselves. We only have one life to live and we need to live it to the best of our ability.
My greatest strength is: Rolling with the punches. Goonies never say die!
If you could have a superhuman power, it would be: Telekinesis
Community cause nearest my heart: Isaiah House
A guilty pleasure of mine: Watching Below Deck after the kids have gone to bed.
People who know me say I am: Steadfast
Personal achievement for which I am most proud: I haven’t achieved it just yet but I am currently working on starting a nonprofit organization that will help fund physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for underinsured and uninsured individuals in Marion County. Move Well Therapeutic Alliance will exist to provide access to rehabilitation services for individuals who need it but face a financial barrier to accessing or completing care.
Favorite part of my profession: Interacting with my clients, getting to know them on a personal level and guiding them through the rehabilitation and healing process so they can get back to whatever they desire.
If there is one thing I indulge too much in: Sweets, I am a sugarholic!
Top three things on my bucket list: Work at an international sporting event. Travel – I hope to see as many countries as possible and ideally the Northern Lights. Get my pilot’s license.
