For the second year in a row, my daughter Lillian and I made our way to Ocala’s annual Cupcake Wars event, held this year at the beautiful Jumbolair ballroom.
I’ve been to several events at this venue but never have I seen it so colorful and buzzing with such sweet enthusiasm. From ceiling to floor, bakers and cupcake makers fully decked out their vendor tables with themes ranging from lemonade stands to Candyland!
For just $6, guest could buy a tastecard that allowed them to sample 6 treats and then vote on who they thought outdid the rest. Six bites just wasn’t enough for us, so we not only sampled over a dozen mini-masterpieces, but took home a box of goodies to share with family.
So, who came home with BIG wins? I’d say anyone in attendance was a winner having tasted Ocala’s best and tastiest treats. Here’s a list of prizes and Ocala Magazine congratulates each one!
