Crawford Ker had a vision. After playing football at the University of Florida and for both the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos, Ker decided to invest in food – “world famous wings, award winning sauces and many other oversized entrees.” Ker’s mission was a success. Today, when patrons want a cold beer, mile-high nachos and mouth watering wings, served to them with a beautiful smile, they choose Ker’s WingHouse.
Walking into the Ocala WingHouse, I was greeted by, not one but, four smiling young ladies, all ready to usher me to my table. The atmosphere at Ker’s WingHouse is buzzing with the sound of friendly service, ESPN on one of the many large screen televisions and the clicking of frosty mugs at the bar.
Ker’s WingHouse is not just a place to eat, it’s a destination for fun. From the pool table and game area to a large bar that serves as a centerpiece for the restaurant, Ker’s is the place to go for grub, gals and games on the big screen!
Fresh out of Ker’s spacious kitchen, I was presented an overflowing platter of Belt Bustin’ Nachos – a Texas sized portion of crisp nacho chips smothered by chili cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions and spicy jalapenos. Each bite dripped with cheesy deliciousness! The nachos are a great starter option and large enough to share with a team of others. Other starter selections include Ker’s Grouper “Teammate” Bites, delicious Fried Pickles or his Chicken Tenders, coated and deep fried using a secret batter.
Known as the people’s choice, I had to try Ker’s “world famous” wings. Despite having many traditional sauces to choose from, including House on Fire and EXXXTREME, I opted for one of Ker’s specialties -the Dallas Finger Lickin’Honey BBQA pile of glistening, sticky wings was making their way to the table, turning heads along the way. I could smell the sweet and savory flavor of these meaty wings and my mouth watered. Delicious! Ker was right -these wings do not disappoint!
With an array of menu items that include hefty portions of salads and soups, zesty tacos, pressed wraps and stacked sandwiches, Ker’s satisfies any hunger. The WingHouse burgers are grilled to order using juicy ground beef, fresh veggies, crispy bacon and a variety of spices and marinades. These lineman sized burgers are served with a side of seasoned fries and crispy pickle spear.
From fresh seafood to a classic grilled cheese, Ker’s delivers a delicious meal seven days a week. Any given day of the week, Ker offers specials such as Boneless Wing wednesday, where customers can enjoy a bottomless boneless wings for just $9.99! For thirsty customers, Ker offers two Happy Hours – 4pm until 8pm and again lOpm until close – 5 days a week, Making Ker’s WingHouse the place to celebrate any occasion!
And speaking of celebrating, Ker’s WingHouse makes birthdays special, offering a variety of desserts to include New York Style Cheesecake, Key Lime Pies and a mind-blowing chocolate cake topped with silky chocolate syrup. What’s not to love?
