Name of business/workplace: Ambitious Boys Becoming Ambitious Men, Inc.
When not working, I . . . spend time with family and friends, dedicate a lot of free time toward restoration in our community and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
What I like most about living in Ocala: The opportunity to utilize my gifts as a coach, mentor and black man to reshape the narrative and stigma of growing up in Ocala. The ability to use my past as a guidance to the future of our youth.
My biggest pet peeve: Not being punctual.
One word that summarizes my philosophy of life: Ambitious
If you could have a superhuman power, it would be . . . the ability to heal sick people.
Community cause nearest my heart: Watching the rising number of volunteer mentors interact with the kings and queens of our community is beautiful. It truly takes a village.
A guilty pleasure of mine: Baking cookies before bed.
Any person in history I could have a dinner date with, and why: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He played a pivotal role and led the movement to end segregation and counter prejudice in the U.S. through the means of peaceful protest. I’d love to talk to him on what ultimately led to his unmatched bravery and dedication to equality.
Favorite part of my profession: Equipping our youth with life skills that will help develop them into future leaders.
If there is one thing I indulge too much in, that would be . . . My cellular device.
