Pediatric neurologists say the best age to start learning a second language is before pre-school. Research has shown that children who are exposed to second language learning early have many benefits. For instance, children who are immersed in a language through play and exploration can learn the language quickly and effortlessly, with a native-like accent. Data also shows that children, who learn a second language, have cognitive advantages over children who only speak one language.
