Hello from Planet Cosmo salons,
I’ve been talking to clients and asking them what is it that makes us not listen to the doctors when they tell us what we need to do? The over whelming answer is that we think we can do it better if we do it our way and do they really know what is best.
I find this to be true in the beauty world as we tell clients to go as long as they can without washing their hair they tend to say I need to wash it every day. I started to think about the advertizing that has been done for so many years like, the head and shoulders lather on the head which by the way lather does not clean it gives you the thought it is clean. The other herbal commercial on the bus with lather and making the passengers want it, whatever it was they promoted.
With that being said we have had more and more clients stop washing their hair every day and brushing really goo and working the oils through the hair while finding it is better and the hair shines more, gives more styling options and over all is a good thing to do so in the salon we hear them telling others yes I do it so you can to!
The all American cover is just a glimpse of what is to come with hair moving back to the sixties and big hair coming back with a twist, like the pieces in the back that gives balance to the overall look and feel.
Balance points are a key to having the best shape and style for you. I’ve spent a lot of time working on all the arts so to apply this to our clients is the separating factor from other salons. Try to go as long as you can between shampoos and use conditioner on your scalp as you rinse to add more moisture to your hair.
This summer try to put your hair up by twisting, pinning, clipping but not use as many bands that cause stress on your hair or put it up while it’s wet unless you are setting it with clips.
Like a French twist, side twist pony to the side and don’t forget pig tails they are great and fun.
