Hello from Planet Cosmo. I recommend reading the 1st two articles and tell your friends to keep up with us on advice for hair care and styling.
The journey is about learning how to take care of and be successful at styling your tresses. Now that we have had a couple weeks to get settled into our routine we can try some new things.
Have you ever put pomade into your hair wet before styling or blow drying? If you have trouble with this then use the number one style and put it in a ponytail!
There are some great ones out there to help with moisture and shine, keeping your hair soft and silky to the eye and the touch. Use very little and rub it in your hands to make sure it will not be a clump, but get throughout the hair. Doing this before blow drying gives your hair more of a chance to be smoothed - not frizzed.
As we talk about products and their uses, it is important to keep in mind the type of hair “material” that you have to work with, remember that your hair does not do what your friends does! It is your unique style of hair that can give you the individual look that no one else has.
If you have fine hair, you need to use a product that is light in consistency. If you have medium hair, then use a medium consistency product, and a heavy consistency product for thicker hair. You get the point! Match your hair type!
Remember ... if you think about your hair as a material, then you will have a clear idea of what to do with it. I see more clients trying to do something with their hair that does not match the material and struggle with the end results. The same would go for any product like shampoo and conditioner. If you put a heavy conditioner on fine hair, then the results are going to be limp with a struggle to style; so put some thought into the product and the end results you’re looking for.
Change is good -- it just requires the first step!
Live well, God bless you and thanks for visiting the planet.
